A good, settled night for a group of very tired children. After dinner last night we visited ‘Fred’ for some free play time before heading back to the centre for hot chocolate and bed.
This morning the children weren’t quite as quick to get going but are now up and about and busy packing bags. The mystery of getting the sleeping bag back into the stuff sack is proving quite a challenging one.
After breakfast, we will be off to Watersmeet to begin our river walk down into Lynmouth before having lunch, visiting the 1952 flood museum and doing some shopping. We will then begin our journey back to school.
The children have been great over the last few days, stepping up to every challenge presented to them and despite being tired they still have smiles on their faces. They have also mastered the skills of setting the table for dinner and drying up afterwards…
