Pinkery B second day

Well the weather is somewhat different today! Glorious sunshine has turned into cold, rain and fog! Proper Pinkery weather!! Today we ventured into Lynmouth to climb Castle Rock and complete the coastal path walk. Castle Rock lies in the valley of rocks. The children were all incredibly, bold and confident attacking the rock to climb it and demonstrated great team work and supported one another hugely. When we got back to Pinkery we had an afternoon of bush craft and low ropes. The low ropes were particularly challenging and the children really needed to demonstrate their team work!! In Bush craft the children had the opportunity to make fire the old fashioned way…flint and steel. After that we then had a proper play in the stream ย in the pouring rain, crawling under the bridge, sitting in it and splashing each other! Unfortunately there arenโ€™t any photos as the camera was destined to be sploshed and broken forever!

The children enjoyed chicken pie for tea tonight and are demonstrating exemplary manners to Lorna the resident cook, which makes us very proud.

Although we are sad to see Pinkery come to an end, we are very much looking forward to coming home tomorrow. As planned, if we are going to be arriving back at school later than planned we will contact school to let them know.
