Class 8 fire safety visitor

Yesterday Class 8 received a visit from Sarah House of the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service. Sarah is the Community Fire Safety Advocate and is based at the fire station in Yeovil.

Sarah spoke to the children about the importance of being fire safety aware, the dangers of making hoax calls, having a working smoke alarm in the home, what to do in the event of an emergency and the creation of a family fire safety plan.

The children were then challenged to go home and investigate these actions for themselves.
