Is it nearly springtime?


The teachers wanted to know whether it is spring or not, so the children went out today to look for signs of spring. ┬áThey found a lot of signs that spring was starting to happen and were very excited at finding leaf buds, spring bulbs, birds singing, daffodils and insects.

Today we learnt about how Chinese New Year is celebrated, we learnt how to say happy new year in Chinese (Kung hei fat choy) and learnt a song. ┬áThe children made dragons and created dances to traditional Chinese music.

Today the children in Class One and Two used a recipe to make pancakes. ┬áThey mixed all the ingredients together to make the batter and then cooked the pancakes. ┬áThe best bit of all was eating them!
